I got a call from the HR IT solution saying that I have been shortlisted for a teaching position at Byjus for English and that I will have to come for an interview the next day. They sent me a message stating the address 812, 8th floor, jaina tower 1, janakpuri west, delhi. They asked me to bring two photos, educational documents, adhar card, and resume. I was contacted by a girl Neha. The next day, I went for the interview and then after waiting for some time they sent me in another room where a woman took my interview. She told me that I am getting a job for rs 18000 and that I will have my training done at dwarka center of Byjus. After that she asked for rs 1000 and said this is the fee I will have to pay to the company as a registration fee for a year. I paid the amount as I was new to interviews and didn’t know about how things worked. Then in the evening I got a call from a man named Rohit. He said I will have to pay more 500 rs for my ID card. I found it fishy. Then I cross checked it with my sources at Byjus and the number provided on the internet by Byjus. They Denis involvement of any consultancy in their hiring. They said they offer direct jobs. And never ask the candidate for money. When I called the consultancy back, the guy said that we don’t tell about the amount before the interview because thats how their policy is. Then I called some students from Byjus and got to know that they don’t even have English as their course and I knew I was scammed. They are fraud. Please beware of them. I called many consultancies who are genuine. They all said we never ask for money form the candidate.
