I had bought aerofit brand treadmill from authorized dealer in abids, hyderabad almost 16 months ago. After very careful use at home and a maximum of 25-30mins for 3-4 days every week the machine suddenly started to make unusual sound and some heating smell as well.
We immediately stopped the machine and called their service center after describing them the situation they sent their service team to our house. After the service team checked our machine they said the motor might need some servicing and it will roughly cost 700-800rs. We agreed to send the motor and pcb along with the service team, after 3 days they called us back and said their technical team inspected our motor and confirmed that it is dead and cannot be repaired. A new motor will cost us 6, 000rs plus gst and service charges. I was very upset and i told them it is brand new machine only 16 months back i had bought it from their dealer, upon this their service team told me to ask their dealer where did they buy this machine from. I was totally lost since i trusted this brand before buying since they had huge marketing done on the brand and many shops are selling their products in local market.
I was asked to call their service center manager (Sunil on who first didn’t pick up my phone calls and when i again called their service team they said they will speak to him and then i can call him after 15mins. Finally he answered and after lot of heated debates and discussion he blamed me for not regularly servicing the machine.
I have been using treadmills for last 15yrs and i know when to get the machines serviced, only at this time and with this brand i had huge disappointment. Aerofit is not fit at all for trust please stay away from buying such cheap brands and products, their after sales service team will only try selling more new products instead helping you. I have lost faith in this company/brand. I have read multiple reviews on internet which proved my doubt to be 100% true that this company is selling cheap products and making money through after sales from poor consumers.
I request the government of telangana and indian consumer panel to immediately cease their trade license and stop their local business transactions which will cause trouble and loss to consumers.
